A Very Valentiny Poem

Pennygirl licked her paws,

Not a good sign!

Grandma tried to stop this,

Even though Penny'd whine!

Did Jenkins the Snowy Owl

Like her too?

Penny wasn't sure,

Was he her love so true?

Oh such a dilemma!

Why was it so hard?

To find out if sweet Jenkins,

Would he accept her card?

Her paws were wet from licking,

A habit hard to break!

Poor Grandma had no notion,

Her pup's heart was at stake!

Oh Penny had been crafting,

A card for Owl, so sweet!

She wanted to present him,

Her masterpiece and treat!

For Valentine's was drawing near,

She'd never felt this way!

Poor Penny couldn't discern,

What would come of this heart day?

So Penny put her tutu on,

She prepped to meet sweet Owl!

Her nerves were frayed beyond compare,

Oh what if owl growled?

She couldn't worry about such things!

For love will find a way!

Her heart was bursting with delight,

For now it was Valentine's Day!

They met on land beside the pier,

And both were Oh, so shy!

But soon were sharing a Root Beer,

With sliced up pizza pie!

The moon, it rose behind their heads,

So beautiful and bright!

I love you so, my Pennygirl!

Said owl, as he held her tight!
